The Port Of Kuryk

The port of Kuryk is located on the east coast of the Caspian Sea, south of the port of Aktau. It is located in a natural bay, which provides more favorable weather conditions for loading and unloading. The ferry complex is focused on transshipment of grain, petroleum products, fertilizers, chemicals and other types of cargo.

The capacity of the railway-ferry and automobile complex is more than 7 million tons per year. The service infrastructure with the customs service zone of the port will handle vehicles for no more than 30-40 minutes, and the key facilities of the Kuryk port will contribute to the development of the terminal and warehouse infrastructure. The ferry complex includes water area, railway berths, a complex of coastal buildings and structures, railways and roads, facilities for navigation and ensuring the safety of navigation. The new ferry complex of the port of Kuryk will increase the influence of Kazakhstan on the development of international trade relations. Large-scale ferry will significantly increase the transit traffic, increase export potential in the western direction through the Caspian Sea. On October 19, 2017, at the railway ferry terminal of the port of Kuryk, the first million tons of cargo were transshipped from the start of operations. In January-June 2018, the volume of transshipment amounted to 856 thousand tons.
