The network of public roads of Mangistau region is 2586.2 km, of which: 1033 km-of national importance, 1553 km-local network, where 932 km – roads of regional importance and 621 km-district.

The share of Mangistau region in the national operational length of public Railways is 5.2%. The density of railway tracks of the region is 4.73 km/1000 sq. km. and below the national average (in Kazakhstan – 5.41). The region ranks 10th in the Republic of Kazakhstan in terms of density and length of railway tracks.
Through the railway network, Mangistau region has access to: Atyrau region via Kulsary station (iscl); Aktobe region via Tassay station (iscl); Uzbekistan via Karakalpakstan station (iscl); Turkmenistan via Bolashak station (incl).
The railway network of the region consists of sections of the KTZ "Beineu - border with Uzbekistan", "Beineu – Support", "Beineu-Mangistau", "Mangistau-Bolashak" and the section between the Aktau seaport and Mangyshlak station.

Aktau international airport is the airport of Aktau city.

Energy infrastructure and heat supply
LLP "MAEK-Kazatomprom" is the only energy-producing enterprise and energy supply organization for all consumers in the Mangystau region. Transportation of electricity in cities and districts of the region is carried out through the electric networks of JSC "Mangistau distribution grid company" (JSC "MREK"), in the city of Aktau – GKP "AUES". Power supply in the cities and districts of the region is carried out by state utilities.
MAEK-Kazatomprom LLP consists of two thermal power plants TPP-1 and TPP-2, one condensing power plant TPP.
The installed electric capacity of power plants of LLP "MAEK-Kazatomprom" is 1330 MW, working-747.2 MW.
In addition, the company provides Aktau and its surrounding areas with drinking water and heat energy.
The total length of power supply networks in the region is 9637.76 km, including municipal property-4005.63 km, private property-5632.13 km.
The total length of heat networks in the region is 779.7 km, which are in communal ownership.
In the cities of Aktau, Zhanaozen and Mangistau, district heating is used. Heat supply of Aktau city is provided from CHP-1 and CHP-2 LLP "MAEK-Kazatomprom". The level of provision of district heating services in the region is 51%.
Heat supply of the city of Zhanaozen is made by the Central boiler room of GKP "Ozenzhylu".
Autonomous boilers and gas boilers are used as heat sources in district centers and rural settlements. Their transfer to the centralized heating is economically inexpedient.
Water transport
Aktau international commercial sea port-the only international port of Kazakhstan is the basis of the transport complex of Mangistau region. The main types of cargo transshipment are crude oil and dry cargo. Aktau port is an integral part of the international transport corridors "TRACECA" and "North-South".
Kuryk port is defined as a transshipment point for oil transportation to Azerbaijan for connection with Baku-Tbilisi-Ceyhan oil pipeline. In order to create a transshipment point for ferry transportation, JSC NC " KTZ " is building a ferry complex in the port of Kuryk with a capacity of up to 4.0 million tons per year.
The port of Bautino is used as a support base for Maritime operations and transports cargo (equipment, building materials, fuel and lubricants, etc.) for oil companies. Vessels of companies engaged in the development of the Caspian sea shelf are mainly based in the port of Bautino.
Gas
The General gas transportation system of Mangistau region (hereinafter-MO) consists of main and distribution gas pipelines owned by JSC "INTERGAS Central Asia" (hereinafter-ITSA), JSC "KazTransGas Aimak" (hereinafter-KTGA).
The total length of gas pipeline networks in the region is 4 926 km, including: main gas pipelines - 1 930,00 km; distribution gas pipelines-2 995,9 km. gas pipeline Networks in the context of balance holders: main gas pipelines: belonging to ITSA - 1 501,8 km; belonging to KTGA-428,2 km; Distribution gas pipelines: belonging to KTGA - 2 995,9 km.
